Day 1 - Thursday 11th July

Our Kenya team - 32 students and 4 staff



Coach not big enough!!!  We had too many bags 72 bags 2 for each of us.  People have been too kind we had 36 large bags full of donations to take with us. Luckily with a bit of clever packing by our coach driver we managed to fit it all in eventually.

With the delays on the M25 we didn't have a lot of time to hang around at Heathrow. We made it through Heathrow smoothly apart from Miss Sibley who got detained and nearly missed the flight!!!

Big plane but we don't like night flights why would you serve breakfast at 2.30am in the morning.  Difficult to sleep and not everyones in flight entertainment system was working - but we survived the 8 hour flight to arrive in Nairobi at 6am (20 minutes early - very unusual for Kenyan's who always are late!)
